Kim Coates' family moved to Aspen in 1968, and she has been a leader in Aspen real estate and the community ever since. The daughter of Nick Coates, founder of Coates, Reid and Waldron, Kim grew up alongside the town itself, watching her father leave his fingerprints on dozens of Aspen developments. Over the years, the two teamed up on some extraordinary projects, including a stunning riverfront compound on Doc Henry Road in Woody Creek.

Kim's entrepreneurial spirit extends well beyond real estate. She co-developed the Redfeather Snowshoe Company and owned Mexican Destinations premier villa rentals. A graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in French, she raised two children in Aspen while making a lasting impact on many of the valley's most treasured organizations such as the Aspen Youth Center and the Aspen Education Foundation.

Having lived in and traveled to remarkable places around the world, Kim will tell you that nothing beats the Roaring Fork Valley: world class skiing under clear blue skies in winter, stellar hiking, biking and rafting in summer, and access to pinnacles of art and culture all year round. When she isn't showing clients everything from the best downtown condos to riverfront cottages and expansive private ranches, you'll find her on the slopes, on the trails, or at one of Aspen's great community events.
